The work on the Nashville
railroad bridges goes bravely on under the indefatigable efforts of
Mr. Cole, the superintendent {of the Nashville
& Chattanooga RR}. We hope to take Mr. Cole at his promise,
to carry us up to the bountiful table of Mrs. Davidson, at Dechard, in
ten days, to dinner and we feel assured that the dinner will not
disappoint us, for if there is anything nice to eat in Middle
Tennessee Mrs. Davidson will be apt to have some of it on her table, as
of yore. We are decidedly in for the dinner. |
