The "Sunshine" |
There was a new
"streak" of Sunshine reached our city yesterday, in the
shape of a new locomotive, built entirely at the works of the Macon
& Western railroad, in Macon. It is shapely, complete and
handsome, and fully equal the Roger's or Baldwin's best. The
"Sunshine" is the same pattern of the "Victory,"
built by the same company over a year ago. Both names are euphonious
and ?? good, and, we trust, typify the future of both our country and
the company. The Macon & Western railroad, notwithstanding the
peculiar embarrassments incidental to railroad, have maintained the
condition of their road equipment substantially unimpaired, and,
indeed, in some respects improved it. |
