Serious Railroad Accident |
A correspondent of the
Columbus Enquirer, states that Sergt. J. W. Falwood and John
Lindsay, both of company I, 51st Georgia volunteers, were two of the
unfortunate soldiers, who were so seriously injured in the railroad
accident near the Big tunnel, on the East Tennessee & Virginia
railroad, on Thursday, the 14th inst. One of these men, Falwood, had
his leg broken below the knee, and the other, Lindsay, was seriously
injured in both hips. The name of the others Sergt. A. S. White and
Private Joseph Mann, of company I, 51st Georgia. The thigh of the
former, and the leg of the latter, are broken. They are all from Clary
county, Ga. |
