The cars are now running west
on the Southern {(of Mississippi)} railroad
from Meridian to Chunkey river, a distance of thirty-eight miles. The
Clarion, of Friday, says: "A large force commenced working on the
Chunkey bridges Wednesday. It is thought two weeks will finish the
bridges, when the iron horse will again wend his way to Jackson." |
