Railway Connection |
We learn that the Confederate
government, having found a connection of the three railroads
terminating at this city, a military necessity, has ordered the
connection to be made, and that it will be done almost immediately. We
are informed that rail will be laid along the graded track of the
uncompleted Lagrange road so as to connect the Mississippi {&
Tennessee} road with the {Memphis &} Charleston
road at a point beyond St. Agnes academy, and along Walnut and Dunlap
streets connecting the Charleston road with the {Memphis
&} Ohio, at a point near the Winchester cemetery. |
