The railroad bridges, crossing
the Holston and Watauga rivers at Zoillicoffer and Carter depot, says
the Register, have been completed, and the {East
Tennessee & Virginia} road placed in running order to
Greenville. The Telegraph understands that it will be repaired
as far down as Morristown in a few days. The first mail train since
the 1st of September, 1863, reached Jonesboro' on the 24th of January,
1864. |
