Bridge Fired |
A passenger by the Memphis
& Ohio road, who arrived in this city yesterday, informs us that
the train was delayed in consequence of a bridge having been fired
about nine miles this side of Clarksville {on
the Memphis, Clarksville & Louisville RR}. The train was
stopped, the fire extinguished, and after some delay the bridge
repaired. A short distance this side of the bridge obstructions were
found upon the track. The general impression was that a small squad of
Unionists in that vicinity were engaged in the matter. |
