Horrible Accident |
A member of the 22d Virginia
regiment, whose name we could not learn, fell from the platform of the
cars of the Orange {& Alexandria} railroad,
at Charlottesville, Thursday night, and had both arms cut off near the
elbows by the wheels of a car running over them. The cars left here at
9 o'clock Thursday morning, conveying the regiment to Western
Virginia, and, as they neared Charlottesville a number of the men
imprudently gathered on the platform, when the accident occurred. |
