Meeting of Stockholders of the Va. & Tenn. Railroad |
The annual meeting of the Stockholders of
the Va. & Tenn. Railroad was held in this city yesterday. |
A resolution was passed requiring the
Board of Directors to declare a dividend of five per cent on the 1st
of January next on the capital stock; also accepting the law
increasing the stock to seven million dollars. |
President Owen was re-elected without
opposition, and his salary increased to eight thousand dollars. |
Messers J. R. McDonald and David Graham
were elected Directors on the part of the Stockholders. |
Messers. C. H. Lynch, J. F. Johnson and W.
Y. C. White are the directors on the part of the State. |
