Lake, Feb. 20 |

Major Lilly was killed about twenty-two
miles from here by the locomotive falling through a bridge. |

Mississippi} Railroad, about 30 miles from
Jackson. |
The latest dispatches from the scene of
this terrible accident we learn from Mr. L' Hommedieu, operator at
Natchez, that 21 bodies have been found, and that about 50 lives were
supposed to be lost |
