Railroad Accident |
The up train on the B. B. B.
& C. {Buffalo Bayou, Brazos & Colorado} road run off the track, three miles below Alleyton, on Friday
night, the 21st, throwing locomotive, tender and freight cars off. The
locomotive and tender turned over and were considerably injured. The
passengers were all saved and no person but the engineer was hurt. He
received some bruises, but was not seriously injured. The cause of the
accident was two horses on the track, both of which were killed. A
horse in one of the cars was also killed. The escape of all hands from
seriously injury was very narrow. There was no blame to be attached to
any person on the train. |
