We notice a connection between
the Texas & New Orleans road and the Houston & Texas Central
has been formed in this city by way of White Oak Bayou Bridge. The
first train crossed over with entire success on yesterday. The bridge
has been much strengthened, and is adjudged by all engineers to be
entirely safe. Indeed it was a very substantial structure at first.
The connection of these roads will be of great advantage to the
service. |
