Railroad Meeting |
Messrs. Editors, |
As this is a time of Conventions and
meetings, we a portion of the citizens of Guilford and Randolph,
propose to hold a Railroad meeting on the 2nd Saturday in May, (being
the 11th) that we may consult on the propriety of building a railroad
from the terminus of the Fayetteville and Coalfields railroad {the
Western RR} to
Greensboro', or some other point on the North Carolina railroad. Every
body favorable to the project will please come and take a part in the
meeting. We expect some good speaking on the occasion. The ladies are
respectfully invited. The meeting will be held at Smith's store. |
