It is reported here that the
mails sent from this place for New Orleans, via Liberty, during the
last ten days or two weeks, have been left at Liberty {on
the Texas & New Orleans RR}, the railroad
refusing to take them. |
We trust there is some mistake
in this. This road has received enough aid from the State, for it,
although without a contract to carry the mails, to relax a little
towards the many valuable interests at stake in the connection of
Galveston with New Orleans. |
