| Opelousas Railroad {New
Orleans, Opelousas & Great Western RR} |
| The President, Mr. Hewes,
reports that by the 1st April next 61 miles additional road will be
ready for track-laying, and by the 1st of July, 75 miles. The work
during the past year has been steadily progressing. Nearly the entire
line between Brashear and New Iberia is graded, while 20 miles between
Iberia and Opelousas are completed. |
