Houston, Trinity & Tyler Railroad |
We are requested to state that
the 10 per cent call upon the capital stock of the Houston, Trinity
& Tyler Railroad Company, payable on the 22d inst., has been made
to provide for the payment for iron now on the way, and expected daily
to arrive. |
The work on the road has been
stopped, for the present, to avoid calling in installments, except to
meet the existing engagements of the Company, during the present
unsettled state of political and financial matters. |
