| Coal-Burning Locomotives |
| The Philadelphia & Baltimore railroad
company have run eight coal-burning locomotives during the past year.
The cost of coal was 6 cents for each mile run, whilst the cost of wood
for each mile run by the other locomotives was 14 cents. |
