Raleigh and the Coalfields |
The Spirit of the Age says that the bill
introduced by Mr. Rogers is for a Railroad from the Coal Fields to
Raleigh {the Chatham RR} or some other
point west not above 12 miles, with a capital stock of $480,000 -- for
single or double track, empowering towns, counties or other
corporations to subscribe, &c., but asking no State aid. |
