The railroad from this place
in the direction of Shreveport {Southern Pacific
RR}, has been completed, as we presume the most of our readers
are aware, as far as Greenwood, 16 miles from Shreveport. We are
informed that the iron for these 16 miles is now at Shreveport, but is
of an inferior quality, which will be extremely hazardous to use on such
an important road. There is said to be a superior lot of iron at Fort
DeRussy, which perhaps it would be well to look after and obtain. |
