| The called meeting of this Company met in
this town on Friday last, and organized and proceeded to business.
Owing to a press of business, we were unable to attend, but we learn
that the following gentlemen were elected Directors for the ensuing
year, viz: A. Henderson, R. A. Caldwell, Jonas Cline, J. C. McDowell.
Directors on the part of the State, N.W. Woodfin, Jas. Cathey, B. S.
Erwin, G. F. Davidson, Wm. Murphy, F. E. Shober. |
| At a meeting of the Board, Dr. A. M.
Powell was re-elected President, R. F. Simonton, Secretary and
Treasurer, James Wilson, Engineer and Superintendent. |
