A Railroad connection of Fayetteville, via
the Coal Fields in Chatham, with Greensboro' is being talked of. Gov.
Morehead is reported to have said he would subscribe one tenth part of
the capital stock; and the Fayetteville Observer in noticing
this very liberal offer, says a connection at some point about
Greensboro' had not been entirely lost sight of by the Fayetteville
people, and this offer of Gov. Morehead's will doubtless settle all
doubts upon that question. |
