The damage done to the M. & W.
{Macon & Western} Railroad by the raiders
on Thursday, (says the Intelligencer, 2d,) has been repaired. The
telegraph line was repaired and dispatches passed over the wires early
Sunday morning. The railroad was rapidly repaired, and a train of cars
that left Atlanta on Sunday evening at six o'clock passed over the
place, arriving in Macon early on Monday morning.***** |
