The Alabama Situation |

The raiders struck the rail
road {Alabama & Florida (of Alabama) RR} on
Friday, at Gravella, 37 miles above Pollard, and on that and the
day following, two engines were damaged -- the wooden work burned off,
but machinery not injured. Fourteen cars were burned at Gravella, one at
Evergreen, and the depot buildings at Sparta. **** |
