Atlanta, September 14 |
A collision on the Western
& Atlantic Railroad occurred Sunday night, near Atlanta. About
thirty were killed and wounded, principally soldiers. |

Marietta, Ga., September 14 |
The train from Ittank
yesterday morning ran off the track two miles above here. No damage
was done, but the train was delayed, and running out of schedule time,
collided with a special train, which left last evening near Etowah,
killing some fifteen soldiers and wounding forty. The passenger train
from Atlanta this morning is delayed here. |
