Fatal Accident |
On Saturday, while the Charleston &
Savannah Railroad train was coming to the city, near Pocotaligo, a free
negro, by the name of Lewy Morris, fell from the cars and was so
severely injured that he died before reaching the city. An inquest was
held over the body in the afternoon and a verdict rendered in accordance
with the above fact. |
