The Barnwell Railroad is being carried on
at a very rapid rate. Col. Walker, the President of the road, has had
a vast deal of work done since he assumed its control; and,
notwithstanding the many difficulties with which he has had to
contend, the work has been pushed forward in a manner that gives
satisfaction to all concerned. There are over one hundred hands
employed. |
