| To All Concerned in the Shipment and Consignment of
Sugar and Molasses to Points in North Carolina and Virginia |
| In order hereafter to prevent the
accumulation and consequent exposure at Augusta, Ga., upon the Cars of
the Georgia Railroad, of shipments of Sugar and Molasses to points in
North Carolina and Virginia, the Georgia Railroad Company and the South
Carolina Railroad Company have adopted the following regulations, which
will go into effect on and after the 15th of April, and continue of
force until further notice: |
| All Sugar and Molasses destined to any
point in either North Carolina or Virginia (the town of Charlotte
excepted), must have a Consignee in Augusta, who must pay charges and
take care of property until it can be received by the South Carolina
Railroad Company for delivery to the connecting Roads at their terminal. |
| All not so consigned, and not called for
within 48 hours after arrival at Augusta, will be sent to Public
Warehouse at the expense of owner. |
