| Barnwell Railroad |
| We are pleased to learn that the dark
clouds which hung over this road for some time past were suddenly
dispelled on Saturday last. A meeting of the Stockholders was held on
that day and it was unanimously resolved to push forward the work, and,
with proper management, we shall soon have the road completed. A
President and five Directors were elected, as follows: President -- W.
H. Duncan. Directors -- J. J. Ryan, J. C. Brown, Johnson Hagood, Jos. D.
Allen and B. H. Brown. |
