The Georgia Central Railroad
{Central (of Georgia) RR} |
We are informed that a large number of
hands are at work repairing this road; and that it is expected that it
will be put in running order as speedily as possible between Augusta and
Macon. The road from Savannah to number four and a half has not been
injured in the least -- with the exception of the culverts. The Yankees
probably spared this part of the road, thinking that they might have
further use for it. From Macon to Gordon the road is in complete running
order. The road from Gordon to Milledgeville will soon be in running
order also. |
