Railroad Convention |
Augusta, December 16 |
The Convention of Railroad Presidents,
requested by A. A. General Wadley, assembled yesterday, at Masonic Hall,
in this city. Some fifty railroads in number, and four or five thousand
miles in length, are represented. The Convention was organized, and
Committees appointed on schedules and to confer with Mr. Wadley. After
which the Convention adjourned until 10 o'clock this morning. |
On re-assembling this morning, the
Convention adopted a resolution to co-operate with General Wadley in the
discharge of the important duties of his office. |
