| The Committee of the Soldiers'
Wayside Home return their thanks to the South Carolina Railroad, the
Northeastern Railroad and {Charleston &}
Savannah Railroad, for conveying provisions, wood, &c., to the city, on
their respective roads free, of charge; also, we return our thanks to
Capt. Simons for the kindness of loaning the Home the Confederate
wagons, when not in use, in conveying provisions and wood from the
railroads. Without the above aid, it would have been impossible for the
Committee to have kept the house open. |
