| Accident on the South Carolina Railroad |
| About 2 o'clock, yesterday morning, the
down train from Columbia, on the South Carolina Railroad, ran over a
broken rail, at a point about ten miles from this city. A passenger car
and two box cars were thrown from the track. The shock bruised and
otherwise injured seven or eight persons, none of whom, however, were
seriously hurt. |
