Terrible Railroad Accident
   A train, containing three hundred soldiers, ran off the track on the Virginia Central Railroad, last Wednesday night, smashing the cars and killing and wounding their occupants. The casualties, which included several South Carolinians, were as follows:
   Killed -- Geo. Griffin, of Hampton Legion, Lipscomb's cavalry, S. C. Sergeant J. E. Corley, regiment not known, but he had letters on his person from Lexington District, S. C. Geo. Owen, 45th Ga. regiment, many letters on his person for members of the 45th regiment. One man not known, apparently about thirty years of age, large beard.
   Seriously Wounded -- George P. Badger, 12th Va. regiment, Co. A, leg broken; D. C. McMasters, N. C. 22d regiment, Co. L, hips injured; J. S. Williams, 3d Ala. regiment, badly bruised; W. T. Abbit, 1st Rifle regiment, S. C., Co. F, breast; J. M. Moore, 14th S. C. regiment, head and breast; H. W. Hay, 19th Ga., Co. F, hips; C. C. Gladley, 19th Ga., Co. F; A. D. Leos Moses, Co. C, Hampton Legion, S. C., leg broken; Sergeant John Bahr, 23d S. C. regiment, head; E. C. Harper, 5th Ala., Co. I, back and left leg; Elisha Heady, 44th Ala., head and back; S. C. Okelly, 16th Ga., Co. A, ankle, not badly; J. H. Gresham, 31st Ga., Co. E, right leg and breast; A. Hale, 7th S. C. Co. D, thigh, back and hand; R. B. Bailey, 7th Ga., Co. F, face and back; Lieutenant H. L. Solomons, 48th Ga., Co. G, leg broken. Some thirty-five others were slightly wounded, and two servants, Jack, belonging to N. B. Owens, and Pat, to Lieut. Miller, of S. C., killed.
