| Accident |
| The evening train of cars from this place {on
the Memphis, Clarksville & Louisville RR} to Bowling Green,
Ky., met with an accident, on Saturday last, at the junction, with the
Edgefield & Kentucky Road near the State line. The switch was not
properly adjusted, and the locomotive and tender, baggage car, and one
or two freight cars were thrown off. The locomotive was badly smashed,
and is almost destroyed. No one was seriously injured. |
