Mr. Geo. B. Fleece, Superintendent of the
Rail Road from Bowling Green, Ky. to Paris, Tenn. {Memphis,
Clarksville & Louisville RR}, has been placed by
Gen. Johnson, in charge of the road from Bowling Green to Nashville {Louisville
& Nashville RR},
also. Mr. Fleece is one of the most competent and intelligent rail
road men in the Southern States, and has had a very large experience.
The demands upon the roads leading to Bowling Green, owing to the
presence of our large army there, are very heavy, and impose a vast
amount of labor upon the officers of the roads, and especially upon
the Superintendents, consequently the appointment to the charge of all
these lines involves a high compliment to Mr. Fleece's abilities which
we are confident his management of the roads will fully justify. |
