Saving the Locomotives |
Upwards of $40,000 worth of
half-destroyed engines and cars were abandoned on the {Richmond
&} York River Railroad by the enemy in their retirement to
the James river. The wrecks are now being brought up to the city, and
it is probable that all can be repaired and made to render their
service to the Confederacy. |
