We are informed that the
Directors of the Richmond & Danville Railroad Company have discharged a
number of their employees, who are capable of bearing arms, and employed
in their stead disabled soldiers who have been discharged from service.
It is hoped that the force of ??? people will be felt throughout the
Confederacy. If every employer would act upon this principle, we would
soon have a large number of recruits for our armies. |
