Suicide |
We learn that last night, as
the passenger train on the Georgia Railroad neared Union Point, it was
discovered that a passenger had committed suicide by taking poison. He
was taken off in a dying condition. He is said to be Capt. W. Large, who
was raising a company for Col. J. C. Nisbet's regiment. The cause
assigned for the rash act is that he was implicated in forging exemption
papers, in which business he had reaped a rich harvest. We hope that
this is not so. His wife, we learn, is in this city. |
