Office of the Montgomery & West Point Rail Road
Company |
Montgomery, April 26, 1861 |
|
To the Stockholders of the Bonds of this
Company, the Interest on which is payable at the Bank of the Republic,
in the City of New York, on the 1st day of May and November -- will
have them paid at maturity, on presentation of the Coupons, at the
Georgia Rail Road and Banking Company, in the City of Augusta. |
As these Bonds are nearly all held in
South Carolina and Georgia, this arrangement has been made to enable
the holders to receive promptly the interest as it becomes due, during
the continuance of the disturbances between the North and South. |
