Cotton Burned on the Savannah Rail Road |
Part of the Track Burned |
|
We learn that three car loads of Cotton,
on the Augusta & Savannah Rail Road, near McBean station, were
destroyed by fire on Monday last. A portion of the track was also
burned, causing a detention of trains. The passengers and baggage were
transferred from one train to another. The fire was caused by the
burning of woods in the vicinity of the rail road. |
