The Accident on the Mobile & Great
Northern Railroad |
A dispatch was received in
this city yesterday, by Samuel G. Jones, Superintendent of the Alabama
& Florida (of Alabama) Railroad, stating that no lives were lost
by the precipitation of the cars into the Perdido river on Sunday. The
telegraph operator at Tensas had a leg broken, and several negroes
were quite severely bruised, but beyond this there were no further
casualties. |
