Damage to Railroads |
Our railroads, says the Macon
Confederate, sustained considerable damage during the freshet. We
learn that several small bridges were destroyed on the Milledgeville
and Eatonton and Milledgeville and Gordon roads {parts
of the Central (of Georgia) RR}, and the running of trains
temporarily suspended. The damage will be repaired in a day or two. No
trains went out on the {Macon &} Brunswick
-- the "swamps" being overflowed and the track submerged. |
