Fair Notice to all Concerned |
Macon & Western Railroad |
Atlanta, Jan. 17, 1863 |
|
I am authorized by the
President and Superintendent of this Road; and also, by the
authorities of the South-Western Road, to notify Consignees here, and
all others interested -- that after the expiration of five days from
this date, no freight of any kind, will be received at the
stations below, for shipment to Atlanta, until notice is given
from this end of the Road, that our Depots and cars here have been
emptied. This card includes Government freight, as well as that for
individuals. |
After the publication of this
card, if parties still neglect or refuse to remove their freight from
cars and ware houses, others expecting shipments, will know where the
blame rests. |
