Spurious Notes |
There are a lot of notes now in circulation, purporting
to be issued by the "Augusta R. R. & Banking Company,"
dated September 11th, 1862, and signed W. Campbell, President. These
notes are of different denominations, and circulate freely. They are
evidently spurious, from the fact that there is no such corporation in
the State as the "Augusta Railroad & Banking Company,"
and we warn parties from taking these notes.
