At a meeting of the Directory
of the Orange & Alexandria Railroad Company, held on the 23d day
of April, 1861, the following resolution was adopted: |
Resolved, That owing to the
disturbed condition of the country, provision cannot be made to pay in
New York the coupons of the bonds, due on 1st of May next. If
circumstances should permit, and the arrangement can be effected satisfactorily,
said coupons will be paid in Virginia currency at the office of the
company, of which due notice will be given hereafter. |
