| Milledgeville & Gordon Railroad

It is the expectation of those who have the repairs of
this road in hand, to run the cars from Gordon to Midway, two miles
from this city {Macon}, early this
week. The road will be put in operation to Milledgeville and thence
to Eatonton just as soon as the necessary repairs can be made. A
bridge for Fishing Creek, near our Depot is now being constructed on
the South Western R. R. and will soon be ready for putting up. We
have heard that it is the intention of President Cuyler to construct
the link between Eatonton and Madison {20
miles}. This we cannot vouch for, but get from others who
seem to know the intentions of the President of the Central
{(of Georgia)} Railroad. |
