Letters from Atlanta |
Atlanta, Aug. 30th, 1864 |
|
No uneasiness is felt about
the occupation of the {Atlanta &} West
Point road, as it has not been found essential, although serviceable. |
The Georgia Railroad will be
reconstructed as soon as possible. The iron which was stolen by the
Yankees and carried off, will be replaced by drafts upon the
Washington and Thomaston branches. |
