Damage to the Georgia Central Road {Central
(of Georgia) RR} |
With a dispatch received in
this city by the Railroad Company we are enabled to state
authoritatively that the damage to the Central Railroad is not so
serious as at first supposed. The enemy destroyed a portion of the
track and burnt all the cars, except those occupied by refugee
families, and the depot at Gordon. |
The raiders about two hundred
in number were reported to have left for Milledgeville yesterday
afternoon. |
