Attention Travellers! |
Great Mail Line
|
The attention of the
Travelling Public is respectfully called to the fact that on February
23d, (1863) |
Double Daily Passenger Trains |
Were started between Montgomery, Ala., and
Richmond Va., via the Wilmington & Manchester and Wilmington &
Weldon Railroads. |
The schedules have been
modified so as to insure and guarantee regular and close connections,
and passengers may rely on this Route via Wilmington being the
quickest and most reliable one, all the roads connecting through twice
a day both ways. The Eating Houses have been improved, and the ??? by
Wilmington now offers more inducements than any other route. No other
line runs two trains a day, and hence a passenger missing a connection
necessarily has to lie over twenty-four hours. |
The following are the hours
between Augusta and Weldon by the Wilmington Route. The Roads north of
Weldon and south of Augusta connect regularly twice a day with this
line, as above stated: |
Going North |
Leave Augusta daily at 7:15 A. M. and ?:30 P.
M. |
Leave Kingsville daily at 4 P. M. and 4:45 A.
M. |
Leave Wilmington daily at 7 A. M. and 7 P. M. |
Going South |
Leave Weldon daily at 5 A. M. and 6 P. M. |
Leave Wilmington daily at 5:20 P. M. and 6:15
A. M. |
Leave Kingsville daily at 7:30 A. M. and 7:40
P. M. |
|
This information is given for
the benefit of the Travelling Public, reports and misstatements being
circulated which are calculated to turn travel from this route. To
undeceive the Public this statement is made. No other road running two
trains a day, we believe a passenger taking the line by Wilmington
will go with the greatest dispatch, celerity and comfort. |
