Railroad Accident |
Griffin, July 19 |
Four miles below Jonesboro {Macon
& Western RR} the
engine "Sunshine" was blown up. The engineer, James Husketh,
Dr. Dannis, Dr. Harris, and a negro wood passer, were killed. Tanner,
of the 36th Tennessee, one of the train guard, was also killed. The
engine and five cars are a total wreck. The track will be clear before
morning. |
